🥞 Rava Dosa Recipe (Crispy & Instant)


Rava Dosa is a quick South Indian crepe made without fermentation. It turns out thin, crispy, and delicious—perfect for breakfast or dinner.


📝 Ingredients


Rava / semolina – ½ cup


Rice flour – ½ cup


Maida / all-purpose flour – ¼ cup


Onion – 1 small (finely chopped)


Green chilli – 1 (finely chopped)


Cumin seeds – 1 tsp


Black pepper – ½ tsp (crushed)


Curry leaves – 6–8 (chopped)


Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp (chopped)


Salt – to taste


Water – 2½ to 3 cups


Oil – for cooking



👩‍🍳 How to Make Rava Dosa


1. In a bowl, mix rava, rice flour, maida, salt, and spices.



2. Add chopped onion, green chilli, curry leaves, and coriander leaves.



3. Add water gradually to make a thin, watery batter.



4. Heat a tawa on medium-high flame and grease lightly.



5. Pour batter from the edges towards the center without spreading.



6. Drizzle oil and cook until crisp and golden.



7. Fold and serve hot.




🍽️ Serving Suggestions


Serve with coconut chutney, sambar, or tomato chutney.

Batter must be very thin for crispy dosa.


Stir batter well before each dosa.
