Chicken Pepper Fry is a quick South Indian–style chicken dish made with freshly crushed black pepper, onions, and aromatic spices. It’s perfect as a side dish or starter.
📝 Ingredients
Chicken – 500 grams (with bone or boneless)
Onion – 2 medium (thinly sliced)
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Green chilli – 2 (slit)
Black pepper – 1½ tsp (coarsely crushed)
Fennel powder – ½ tsp
Curry leaves – 10–12
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Salt – to taste
Oil – 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves – for garnish
👩🍳 How to Make Chicken Pepper Fry
1. Heat oil in a pan. Add curry leaves and sliced onions. Sauté until golden.
2. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies. Fry for a minute.
3. Add turmeric powder, salt, and chicken pieces. Mix well.
4. Cover and cook on medium flame until chicken is tender.
5. Add crushed pepper and fennel powder. Mix and cook uncovered until dry.
6. Garnish with coriander leaves and turn off the heat.
