🥔 How to Make Aloo Kabab (Crispy Potato Kababs)


📝 Ingredients

3–4 medium potatoes (boiled & mashed)

1 small onion (finely chopped)

2 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)

1–2 green chilies (finely chopped)

1 tsp ginger paste

½ tsp red chili powder

½ tsp garam masala

½ tsp cumin powder

Salt to taste

2 tbsp cornflour or bread crumbs

Oil for shallow frying

👩‍🍳 Method

1. Prepare the mixture:

In a bowl, add mashed potatoes, onion, coriander, green chilies, ginger paste, spices, salt, and cornflour/bread crumbs. Mix well.

2. Shape the kababs:

Take small portions and shape into round or oval patties.

3. Heat the oil:

Heat oil in a pan on medium flame.

4. Fry the kababs:

Place kababs gently in the pan and shallow-fry until golden brown on both sides.

5. Drain & serve:

Remove and place on tissue paper to absorb excess oil.


🍽️ Serving Tips

Serve hot with green chutney, tomato ketchup, or mint yogurt dip.

Perfect as a snack, starter, or tea-time treat ☕



⭐ Tips

For extra crispiness, coat kababs lightly with bread crumbs before frying.

Add boiled peas or grated carrot for variation.

You can also air-fry at 180°C for 12–15 minutes, flipping once.
