How to make Macaroni and Cheese

 

Here is a simple, tasty, and creamy Macaroni & Cheese recipe you can follow at home:


🧀 Macaroni and Cheese Recipe (Easy & Creamy)


Ingredients


2 cups macaroni (elbow pasta)


2 tablespoons butter


2 tablespoons maida (all-purpose flour)


2 cups milk


1 cup grated cheddar cheese (or any cheese you like)


½ cup mozzarella (optional for extra creaminess)


Salt to taste


½ teaspoon black pepper


½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)


½ teaspoon mixed herbs / oregano (optional)


Instructions


1️⃣ Boil the Macaroni


1. Heat water in a pot, add 1 teaspoon salt & few drops of oil.



2. Add macaroni and boil for 7–8 minutes until soft but not mushy.



3. Drain the water and keep aside.



2️⃣ Make the Cheese Sauce


1. In a pan, melt butter on low flame.



2. Add maida and mix well for 1 minute (don’t let it brown).



3. Slowly add milk, whisking continuously so no lumps form.



4. Cook until the sauce thickens.


3️⃣ Add Cheese & Spices


1. Add cheddar cheese (and mozzarella if using).



2. Mix until cheese melts into a smooth, creamy sauce.



3. Add salt, black pepper, chili flakes, mixed herbs.


4️⃣ Combine


1. Add the boiled macaroni into the cheese sauce.



2. Mix well so the pasta is fully coated.


Optional: Bake for Extra Flavor


Pour the mac & cheese into a baking dish.


Top with extra cheese.


Bake at 180°C for 10 minutes until golden and bubbly.
