For the Pasta:

Oil – 1 tsp
For the Sauce:

Butter – 2 tbsp
Maida (all-purpose flour) – 1½ tbsp
Milk – 1½ cups
Salt – to taste
Black pepper – ½ tsp

Chopped onion – ½ cup
Chopped capsicum, carrot, corn, or mushrooms – 1 cup
Garlic – 3 cloves, finely chopped
Chilli flakes and oregano – to taste

Step 1: Cook the Pasta
1. Boil water in a large pot with salt and oil.
2. Add the pasta and cook until al dente (soft but slightly firm).
3. Drain the water and rinse pasta with cold water. Set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Sauce
1. Heat butter in a pan.
2. Add garlic and sautรฉ till fragrant.
3. Add chopped vegetables (optional) and sautรฉ for 2–3 minutes.
4. Add maida and stir continuously for 1 minute (no lumps).
5. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
6. Add salt, pepper, oregano, and chilli flakes.
7. Mix in cheese if you like it creamy.
Step 3: Combine
1. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce.
2. Mix well until all pasta is coated evenly.
3. Adjust consistency with a little milk if it becomes too thick.
