Lemon papper chicken
Here’s a simple Lemon Pepper Chicken recipe you can try at home
Ingredients:
Chicken (boneless or with bone) – 500 g
Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
Lemon zest – 1 tsp (optional, for extra flavor)
Black pepper (freshly crushed) – 1 to 1 ½ tsp
Garlic – 5 to 6 cloves (finely chopped or minced)
Green chilies – 2 (optional, for spice)
Onion – 1 medium (finely chopped)
Oil or butter – 2 tbsp
Salt – to taste
Coriander leaves – for garnish
Preparation:
1. Marinate the chicken
Wash and clean chicken pieces.
Marinate with lemon juice, salt, and half of the black pepper.
Rest for at least 30 minutes.
2. Cook the chicken
Heat oil or butter in a pan.
Add garlic, onions, and green chilies. Sauté until onions turn golden.
Add the marinated chicken and cook on medium flame.
Stir occasionally until chicken is cooked through.
3. Seasoning
Add the remaining black pepper and lemon zest.
Mix well and let it cook for 2–3 minutes.
Adjust salt and lemon juice as per taste.
4. Garnish & Serve
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice, roti, or salad.
✨ Tip: For a restaurant-style version, you can coat the chicken lightly with cornflour and shallow fry before tossing it in lemon-pepper sauce.
