Eggless Chocolate Cake 🍫🎂
This eggless chocolate cake is moist, rich, and super easy to make! Perfect for birthdays, celebrations, or just a chocolate craving.
Ingredients: Dry Ingredients:
1½ cups all-purpose flour (maida)
½ cup cocoa powder
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
Wet Ingredients:
1 cup milk (or plant-based milk)
½ cup oil (vegetable or melted butter)
1 tbsp vinegar or lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup hot water
For Chocolate Ganache (Optional):
½ cup heavy cream
½ cup chopped dark chocolate
Instructions:
Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 7- or 8-inch cake pan and line it with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
Mix Wet Ingredients:
In another bowl, mix milk, oil, vinegar, and vanilla extract. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
Combine & Add Hot Water:
Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring gently.
Pour in hot water and mix until smooth (don’t overmix).
Bake:
Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let it cool completely before adding frosting.
Prepare Chocolate Ganache (Optional):
Heat the cream until warm (don’t boil). Pour over chopped chocolate, let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
Spread over the cooled cake and let it set.
