Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta

#### **Ingredients:**
- 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Juice of 1 lemon
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- ½ cup reserved pasta water
#### **Instructions:**
1. **Cook the Pasta:** Boil the pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
2. **Cook the Shrimp:** In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and black pepper, and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. **Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:** In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds. Add red pepper flakes and stir.
4. **Combine Everything:** Add the cooked pasta, shrimp, lemon juice, and reserved pasta water to the skillet. Toss to coat in the sauce. Stir in Parmesan cheese and parsley.
5. **Serve & Enjoy:** Serve immediately with extra Parmesan and lemon wedges if desired.
