Veg Fried Rice is a quick and flavorful Indo-Chinese dish made with cooked rice, fresh vegetables, and delicious sauces. This easy homemade recipe tastes just like restaurant-style fried rice and is perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients


2 cups cooked rice


1 tablespoon oil


1 tablespoon chopped garlic


1 chopped onion


½ cup chopped carrot


½ cup chopped capsicum


¼ cup cabbage


¼ cup spring onions


1 teaspoon soy sauce


1 teaspoon chilli sauce


½ teaspoon black pepper


Salt as needed



Instructions


Step 1: Prepare the Rice


Use cooled cooked rice for best results. Separate the rice gently to avoid lumps.


Step 2: Sauté the Vegetables


Heat oil in a wok or pan. Add garlic and sauté for a few seconds. Add onion, carrot, capsicum, and cabbage. Stir fry on high flame for 2–3 minutes.


Step 3: Add Sauces


Add soy sauce, chilli sauce, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.


Step 4: Add Rice


Add cooked rice and toss gently until the sauces coat the rice evenly.


Step 5: Garnish & Serve


Add spring onions and mix lightly. Serve hot with Manchurian or chilli paneer.


Pro Tips


Always use cooled rice for non-sticky fried rice.


Cook on high flame for restaurant-style flavor.


Do not overcook vegetables to maintain crunchiness.
