Simple Veg Pulao Recipe (Easy One-Pot Meal)
Veg Pulao is a quick and tasty rice dish made with vegetables and simple spices. It is perfect for lunch or dinner and goes well with raita.

🛒 Ingredients
1 cup basmati rice
2 cups water
1 tbsp oil or ghee
1 small onion (sliced)
1 small carrot (chopped)
½ cup beans (chopped)
½ cup green peas
1 green chili (optional)
1 bay leaf
2 cloves
1 small cinnamon piece
Salt to taste
👩🍳 Method
1️⃣ Wash and soak basmati rice for 15 minutes.
2️⃣ Heat oil or ghee in a cooker or pan.
3️⃣ Add bay leaf, cloves, and cinnamon. Fry for few seconds.
4️⃣ Add sliced onion and sauté until light golden.
5️⃣ Add chopped vegetables and green chili. Cook for 2–3 minutes.
6️⃣ Add soaked rice, water, and salt. Mix gently.
7️⃣ Cover and cook (2 whistles in cooker or 15 minutes in pan).
8️⃣ Let it rest for 5 minutes, then fluff gently with a fork.
