Easy Lemon Rice Recipe (Simple & Quick)

Lemon Rice is a quick and tasty South Indian dish you can make in just 15 minutes. It is perfect for lunch box or light dinner.

🕒 Time Required

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 10 minutes

🛒 Ingredients

2 cups cooked rice (cooled)

2 tbsp oil

1 tsp mustard seeds

1 tsp urad dal

1–2 dry red chilies

8–10 curry leaves

2 tbsp peanuts

¼ tsp turmeric powder

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Salt to taste

👩‍🍳 Method

1️⃣ Heat oil in a pan.

2️⃣ Add mustard seeds. Let them splutter.

3️⃣ Add urad dal, peanuts, red chilies, and curry leaves. Fry until golden.

4️⃣ Add turmeric powder and mix.

5️⃣ Add cooked rice and salt. Mix gently.

6️⃣ Turn off the flame and add lemon juice. Mix well.

Your simple and tasty Lemon Rice is ready!
