Veg Momos Recipe (Steamed Street-Style)

Veg Momos are popular street-food dumplings filled with finely chopped vegetables and mild spices. They’re healthy, tasty, and perfect as a snack or starter.

📝 Ingredients

For Outer Covering

Maida / all-purpose flour – 1½ cups

Salt – a pinch

Water – as needed

For Veg Filling

Cabbage – 1 cup (finely chopped)

Carrot – ½ cup (grated)

Capsicum – ¼ cup (finely chopped)

Onion – 1 small (finely chopped)

Garlic – 1 tsp (finely chopped)

Soy sauce – 1 tsp

Black pepper – ½ tsp

Salt – to taste

Oil – 1 tsp

👩‍🍳 How to Make Veg Momos

Mix maida, salt, and water to make a firm dough. Rest for 20 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic and onion; sauté lightly.

Add vegetables, soy sauce, pepper, and salt. Stir fry for 2 minutes.

Roll dough into small circles and add vegetable filling.

Fold and shape momos as desired.

Steam for 10–12 minutes until glossy and cooked.

Serve hot with spicy red chutney or mayo dip.
