๐Ÿงพ Ingredients


For the Dough:


Maida (all-purpose flour) – 1 cup


Salt – ¼ tsp


Oil – 1 tsp


Water – as needed



For the Filling (Veg version):


Finely chopped cabbage – ½ cup


Grated carrot – ¼ cup


Chopped capsicum – ¼ cup


Chopped onion – ¼ cup


Garlic – 2 cloves, finely chopped


Soy sauce – 1 tsp


Salt & pepper – to taste


Oil – 1 tsp



(For non-veg version: replace veggies with cooked minced chicken or paneer)



๐ŸŒฏ For the Tandoori Marinade:


Thick curd (hung curd or Greek yogurt) – ½ cup


Red chilli powder – 1 tsp


Turmeric – ¼ tsp


Garam masala – ½ tsp


Coriander powder – ½ tsp


Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp


Lemon juice – 1 tsp


Salt – to taste


Oil – 1 tbsp


๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿณ Step-by-Step Preparation


1. Make the Dough


1. Mix maida, salt, and oil.



2. Add little water and knead into a soft dough.



3. Cover and rest for 15–20 minutes.



2. Prepare the Filling


1. Heat oil in a pan, add garlic and onion, sautรฉ 1 min.



2. Add veggies, stir-fry on high flame for 2–3 mins.



3. Add soy sauce, salt, and pepper.



4. Mix and cool completely.



3. Shape the Momos


1. Roll small dough balls into thin circles.



2. Place 1 spoon of filling in the center.



3. Fold and seal into momo shapes (round or half-moon).



4. Steam the Momos


1. Steam the momos in a steamer or idli pot for 8–10 minutes.



2. Let them cool slightly.



5. Marinate


1. Mix all tandoori marinade ingredients in a bowl.



2. Add steamed momos and coat them well.



3. Let them rest for 15–20 minutes to absorb flavors.



6. Cook the Tandoori Momos


Oven / Air fryer: Roast at 200°C for 10–12 minutes until slightly charred.


Tawa / Pan: Roast on medium flame with little oil, turning sides till golden.


Tandoor / Grill: Grill until smoky and crisp.
