Chocolate Lava Cake

 

Here's a simple and delicious **Chocolate Lava Cake** recipe!  


Chocolate Lava Cake

Ingredients

- ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter  

- 4 oz (115g) dark chocolate, chopped  

- 2 eggs  

- 2 egg yolks  

- ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar  

- 2 tbsp (15g) all-purpose flour  

- ½ tsp vanilla extract  

- A pinch of salt  

- Butter and cocoa powder (for greasing)  


*Instructions:*  

1. **Preheat Oven:** Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease 4 ramekins with butter and lightly dust with cocoa powder.  

2. **Melt Chocolate & Butter:** In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and chocolate together in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Let it cool slightly.  

3. **Whisk Eggs & Sugar:** In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.  

4. **Combine Ingredients:** Slowly add the melted chocolate to the egg mixture, stirring continuously. Then, fold in the flour and salt until just combined.  

5. **Bake:** Pour the batter evenly into the prepared ramekins. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set but the center is still soft.  

6. **Serve:** Let them sit for a minute, then carefully run a knife around the edges and invert onto a plate. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or fresh berries.
