**Servings:** 4
**Prep Time:** 5 minutes
**Cook Time:** 15 minutes
**Ingredients:**
- 8 oz (225g) spaghetti or fettuccine
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- ½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- ½ cup pasta water (reserved from boiling pasta)
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
**Instructions:**
1. **Cook the Pasta:** Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain the rest.
2. **Make the Sauce:** In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and stir.
3. **Add Cheese & Seasoning:** Lower the heat and mix in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning. Stir until smooth.
4. **Combine Everything:** Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
5. **Serve & Enjoy:** Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve immediately!
