How to Make a Hamburger
Ingredients:
500g ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)
Salt – 1 tsp
Black pepper – ½ tsp
Garlic powder – ½ tsp (optional)
4 burger buns
4 cheese slices (optional)
1 tomato – sliced
1 onion – sliced
Lettuce leaves
2 tbsp butter or oil (for toasting buns)
Ketchup, mayonnaise, or mustard – as needed
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Patties:
In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Divide into 4 equal portions and shape each into a round patty (about ¾ inch thick).
Make a small dent in the center of each patty (helps them cook evenly).
2. Cook the Patties:
Heat a pan or grill over medium-high heat.
Cook patties for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.
Add cheese slices on top in the last minute to melt.
3. Toast the Buns:
Spread butter on buns and toast lightly on the pan or grill until golden brown.
4. Assemble the Burger:
Place lettuce on the bottom bun.
Add the cooked patty with melted cheese.
Add tomato and onion slices.
Spread ketchup, mayo, or mustard on the top bun and place it over.
5. Serve Hot:
Enjoy your homemade hamburger with fries or cold drink!
