Here’s a simple and tasty Tomato Soup recipe you can easily make at home. It’s comforting, healthy, and perfect for any season!


🍅 Tomato Soup Recipe


📝 Ingredients:


Ripe tomatoes – 4 to 5 (medium-sized, chopped)


Onion – 1 small (chopped)


Garlic – 3 cloves (chopped)


Black pepper – ½ tsp (adjust to taste)


Salt – to taste


Sugar – ½ tsp (optional, balances the sourness)


Butter or oil – 1 tbsp


Water or vegetable stock – 2 cups


Cornflour – 1 tsp (optional, for thickening)


Fresh cream – 1 tbsp (optional, for garnish)


Fresh coriander or basil leaves – for garnish


👩‍🍳 Method:


Step 1: Sauté the Base


1. Heat butter/oil in a pan.



2. Add chopped garlic and onion, sauté until soft.


Step 2: Cook Tomatoes


3. Add chopped tomatoes, salt, and pepper.



4. Cook until tomatoes turn soft (about 8–10 minutes).



5. Add 2 cups of water and let it simmer for 5 more minutes.




Step 3: Blend


6. Let the mixture cool slightly.



7. Blend into a smooth puree using a blender or mixer.




Step 4: Strain & Boil


8. Strain the puree using a sieve to remove seeds/skin.



9. Pour it back into the pan, add sugar and boil for 2–3 minutes.




Step 5: Thicken (Optional)


10. Mix 1 tsp cornflour in 2 tbsp water and add to the soup.



11. Cook for 2 more minutes until slightly thick.



✅ Serving:


Pour into bowls, top with a swirl of fresh cream and croutons (optional).


Garnish with coriander leaves or basil.


Serve hot with toast or breadst
