### **Ingredients:**

- 1½ cups all-purpose flour (maida)
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
#### **Wet Ingredients:**
- ¾ cup buttermilk (or ¾ cup milk + 1 tsp vinegar)
- ½ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
- 1 tbsp white vinegar or lemon juice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp red food coloring
#### **For Cream Cheese Frosting:**
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

### **Instructions:**
#### **1. Preheat & Prepare Pan:**
- Preheat oven to **350°F (175°C)**.
- Grease an **8-inch cake pan** and line with parchment paper.
#### **2. Mix Dry Ingredients:**
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
#### **3. Mix Wet Ingredients:**
- In another bowl, mix buttermilk, oil, vinegar, vanilla extract, and red food coloring.
#### **4. Combine & Bake:**
- Gradually fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Mix gently until smooth.
- Pour batter into the cake pan. Bake for **30-35 minutes** or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
